JOB SUMMARY:

The Lead Movex ERP Analyst is responsible for the overall support, administration, enhancement, and strategic direction of the company’s legacy Infor Movex ERP system running on the IBM i (AS/400) platform. This position serves as the organization’s primary functional and technical expert for Movex, partnering with business leaders to ensure the ERP system continues to effectively support manufacturing, purchasing, inventory, finance, customer service, warehousing, and distribution operations.The Lead Movex ERP Analyst provides technical leadership, mentors ERP analysts, manages ERP-related projects, coordinates with software vendors and consultants, and identifies opportunities to improve business processes while maintaining the stability of a highly customized ERP environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the technical and functional owner of the Movex ERP system, setting standards, best practices, and support procedures.
  • Prioritize ERP enhancement requests with business leadership and lead related projects from planning through implementation.
  • Develop the long-term roadmap for maintaining and modernizing the ERP environment.
  • Maintain system health, performance, and data integrity, coordinating updates, patches, maintenance, security, and user access.
  • Partner with department managers to identify process improvements, then analyze, configure, and document ERP enhancements to support them.
  • Provide advanced functional support across core ERP modules (Inventory, Purchasing, Sales Orders, Manufacturing, Distribution, Costing, GL, AP, AR, Warehouse Operations).
  • Deliver technical support: SQL development, IBM i (AS/400) databases, API/EDI integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Design and maintain reporting, including Power BI and SQL-based solutions, ensuring accuracy and supporting ad hoc requests.
  • Lead ERP enhancements and implementations, including testing, UAT, data conversion, and project planning.
  • Maintain ERP documentation and mentor analysts/junior staff on best practices and training.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of experience supporting Movex ERP (Infor M3 legacy versions)
  • Strong understanding of ERP processes (finance, inventory, procurement, manufacturing, etc.)
  • Experience with Movex tools such as APIs, database queries, or related reporting tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot functional and technical issues
  • Familiarity with IBM i (AS/400) environments is highly preferred
  • Strong SQL skills or experience with data querying/reporting tools
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to support non-technical users
  • Knowledge of integrations (EDI, APIs, middleware)
  • Experience working in manufacturing or distribution environments
  • Basic programming/scripting knowledge (e.g., RPG, Java, or similar)
  • Prior experience in a legacy system support or modernization project
